Shri Mayureshwar Temple, Morgaon

Shri Mayureshwar Mandir, also known as Shri Moreshwar Temple, is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the god of wisdom, located in Morgaon, Pune District. Recognized as the first and final stop of the famed Ashtavinayak pilgrimage, it rose to prominence through the devotion of the Ganapatya saint Morya Gosavi and received royal patronage from the Peshwas in the 18th century, who endowed it with land, funds, and architectural additions. Widely associated with the 17th century, the temple is also known as the birthplace of the celebrated arati “Sukhakarta Dukhaharta,” composed by saint Samarth Ramdas. Today, its upkeep and spiritual activities are managed by the Chinchwad Devasthan Trust.

Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary – A Birdwatcher’s Paradise

Often called the “Bharatpur of Maharashtra,” Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary is renowned for its rich avian diversity, hosting more than 300 bird species, including the striking Greater Flamingo, especially during the migratory season. Shri Kashivishweshwar Temple

Situated within Baramati on the western bank of the River Karha, this ancient Shiva temple dates back to around 750 AD and showcases exquisite architecture with a colossal Nandi idol.
